Ferne Park, previously know as Chartwell Court, is a major industrial development comprising three high-spec warehouse units in Fareham. RedSix was appointed to deliver BREEAM Assessment, act as the Accredited Professional (AP), and provide strategic guidance on embodied carbon reduction. The project successfully achieved a BREEAM Outstanding rating of 92.11%, reflecting both the quality of the design and its readiness to meet future sustainability demands.

With no end user confirmed during the design and construction phases, the development had to meet the highest BREEAM standards while maintaining flexibility for future tenants. Ensuring long-term environmental performance without specific operational input required careful foresight, rigorous evidence management, and coordination across a multi-disciplinary design team.
RedSix worked closely with the client team to embed BREEAM criteria into every stage of the project, ensuring compliance with the 2018 New Construction Shell and Core framework. As APs, we guided decision-making to prioritise low-impact materials, future-proofing strategies, and best-practice construction methods. We also provided detailed embodied carbon analysis, helping the team evaluate material choices and structural design to lower the building’s whole-life carbon footprint. The result was not only a compliant and energy-efficient scheme but one that is adaptable and primed for future tenants, technologies, and operational requirements.
